Hope Lies on Television #10 - Movin' On Up

In the latest instalment of Hope Lies on Television, I use the success of The Inbetweeners Movie (review up soon, maybe, but I liked it) as a jumping off point to look at the reasons why a television show might want to make the leap to the big-screen - and I have limited myself solely to spin-offs, rather than adaptations a la Bewitched - with specific interest in ideas of content and scope. It also gave me the opportunity to write a little about In The Loop and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, which are two of my absolute favourite spin offs.
