A few days ago, Nathanael Smith, freelance writer and editor of the great animation blog Animation Confabulation, asked for contributions to his site in the form of articles about favourite animated films. I jumped at the opportunity, and used it to wax lyrical about the strange pleasures of Dougal and the Blue Cat, the phenomenally funny and trippy feature film adaptation of The Magic Roundabout.
